ALOHA! Exactly that. This beautiful word that has come to define the islands more than just a greeting or goodbye, it is a description of life. Per Wikipedia in the Hawaiian language the word means affection, peace and compassion. UMmmmm how cool is that?!?! every single day the word Aloha fills the air I breath, paves the roads I walk on, and warms the hearts of people I pass. Not to mention it is plastered on every building, bus, and t-shirt. How could a girl not feel welcome when the literal essence of the word Aloha is so giving and it is ingrained in the people who live on this island. So from across the ocean to all my friends and family I say...Aloha :)
